This site is the official page for The Los Angeles Recording School, a division of The Los Angeles Film School. Our goal for On The Record is to inspire you (the student) to discover your full potential by giving you access to exclusive interviews, industry resources and articles to help demystify the recording industry.
For our inaugural post, we interviewed our award-winning LARS alumnus, Jordan Wilby. He is currently working in the industry as a sound effects editor for major networks like Netflix, HBO and Marvel Studios. You may recognize a little show Jordan worked on called Stranger Things. We asked Jordan about his career in SFX editing and to give students tips on how to work your way up to lead SFX editor for broadcast, film and streaming. Read the full story here.
