Ari Levine
FIELD: Producer, Songwriter and Recording Engineer
Ari Levine has worked as a composer and engineer for Bruno Mars on the albums DooWops and The Hooligans and Unorthodox Jukebox, as well as several singles. He also worked with Cee Lo Green on his Grammy©-nominated single F**k You/Forget You.
David Boyd
FIELD: Sound Engineer
David Boyd has worked as an engineer for such legendary artists as Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, and Beyoncé. He worked on Beyonce’s Double Platinum album I Am … Sasha Fierce.
Jordan Wilby
FIELD: Sound Effects Editor
Winner of two consecutive Primetime Emmy awards, Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing for Seasons 1 and 2 of Stranger Things.
Jordan Wilby is a sound effects editor for broadcast, streaming, feature films and video games. You may not know Jordan by name, but you definitely recognize his work. His credits include sound editing for Marvel’s Daredevil, Punisher, Defenders and Jessica Jones on Netflix. Jordan was the lead sound effects editor on seasons 1 and 2 of the popular Netflix show Stranger Things.
Jaycen Joshua
FIELD: Sound Mixer
Notable mixing credits include the soundtrack for Black Panther, Camila Cabello’s album Camila, Ella Mai’s self-titled album Ella Mai, Nicki Minaj’s album Queen, and “Despacito” with Luis Fonsi.
Jaycen enrolled into LARS after working in advertising for quite some time before making the switch to recording arts. Jaycen quickly realized his love of mixing soon after starting school. Jaycen has become one of the top mixing engineers in the music industry, working with successful artists like Rhianna, Usher, Rick Ross, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey and countless other talent.
Trina Shoemaker
FIELD: Production and Recording Engineer
GRAMMYs include Best Engineered Album Non-Classical and Best Rock Album for Sheryl Crow’s The Globe Sessions; Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album for Steven Curtis Chapman’s All Things New.
Three-time GRAMMY-winner Trina Shoemaker built a career from the ground up by getting her start at Capitol Records. Over her career, Trina’s worked with critically acclaimed Rock and Country artists like Pearl Jam, Blues Traveler, Indigo Girls and The Dixie Chicks.
Marco Sonzini
FIELD: Audio Engineer
Engineering credits include Janelle Monaé’s Dirty Computer, The Lonely Island’s The Wack Album and The Tenors Lead With Your Heart.
Originally from Italy, Marco moved to L.A. to pursue his love of sound and classical guitar. He established a career in recording, mixing, audio editing and programming. Marco’s worked with prominent Italian artists like Vasco Rossi and Eros Ramazzotti as well as American R&B sensation Janelle Monaé.
Andrés Borda Zabala
FIELD: Studio Engineer
Four-time Latin GRAMMY winner in addition to a 2018 (American) GRAMMY win for his engineering work on Carlos Vives’s album, Vives.
Very few people can say that they’ve won a GRAMMY® in their lifetime. Our alumnus, Andrés F. Borda Zabala, is part of this elite group of artists. As a tracking engineer, sound designer and mixer, Andrés has contributed to more than 60 international music albums and feature films. He worked with Latin superstar Carlos Vives on his Vives album, which won Andrés the 2018 GRAMMY® award.
Justin Scott Wilson
FIELD: Sound Supervisor and Editor
Sound recordist credit for Best Sound Editing on the Oscar-winning film, Arrival.
Justin Scott Wilson is an award-winning re-recording sound mixer, sound supervisor and editor. His career spans over a decade with sound credits in film, television and theatrical trailers. Most notably, he worked on the Oscar-winning Film Arrival as a sound recordist. He has credits on popular shows like Bob’s Burgers, Bones and Sons of Anarchy.
Eleanor Vainshtok
FIELD: Music Production
Eleanor is an award-winning music production professional and has worked for iconic networks including Nickelodeon and VH1. In 2013, Eleanor won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Achievement Music Direction and Composition for Nick, Jr.’s The Fresh Beat Band.
Mike Daley
FIELD: Sound Engineer
Mike Daley’s career has included work as an assistant, composer, and engineer on the albums of some award-winning artists including Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, and Chris Brown. He worked on The Fame Monster and I Look to You, both of which went Platinum.
Josh Stevens
FIELD: Music Producer
Josh Stevens is a co-producer on several of LMFAO’s singles including Sexy and I Know It, which has been certified as 8 times Platinum and Party Rock Anthem which is close behind with 7 times Platinum. He also co-produced LMFAO’s album Sorry for Party Rocking and Pitbull’s album, Planet Pit.
Sean Cooper
FIELD: Sound Designer
Sean Cooper has over ten years of experience in sound design and has worked on albums such as Snoop Dogg’s R&G, Brandy’s Afrodisiac, and Jamie Foxx’s Unpredictable, which went Double Platinum.
Maurice Stewart
FIELD: Music Production
Maurice Stewart’s production credits include the Gold albums Gangsta Lean by DRS (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and The Funky Headhunter by Hammer (formerly MC Hammer).
Joel Numa
FIELD: Producer, Mixer and Engineer
Winner of one Emmy and four GRAMMYs.
Joel Numa has worked on more than 130 Platinum and Gold albums in various genres such as Pop, Rock and Hip-Hop. He’s worked with countless award-winning artists including Madonna, Shakira, The Neptunes, Christina Aguilera, Pharrell, J-Lo and Nelly Furtado.
Anthony Martinez
FIELD: Music Production
Anthony Martinez’s diverse career includes working on the singles Rewind by Rascal Flatts as well as Testify by American Idol winner, Caleb Johnson. Both songs have been certified Gold.
Daniel Kier
FIELD: Music Production
Daniel Kier has worked on two gold singles – Hallelujah by Grammy© Award-winning rapper T.I. and Bad by Wale. Bad hit number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and number 1 on the Rap Airplay Chart in 2013.
Henrique Andrade
FIELD: Recording Engineer
As an audio engineer, Andrade worked his way up the entertainment ranks to GRAMMY-award winner for his recording work on Colombian songwriter Juanes’ debut album, Mis Planes Son Amarte My Plans Are to Love You. More recently, Andrade worked with Zayn Malik on his second album, Icarus Falls.
Simón Guzmán
FIELD: Recording & Mixing Engineer
Simón has a number of credits on albums with afro-beat, funk and Latin-Jazz flair. His recording and mixing credits include Ondatrópica, Baile Bucanero; The Como Mamas, Move Upstairs; and Damian Marley, Stony Hill to Addis.
Jonathan Greasley
FIELD: Sound Designer/Re-Recording Mixer
Nominated for two Golden Reel Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing on Nightflyers and The Long Road Home.
Jonathan Greasley’s break into the industry happened after he landed a paid internship at the sound design house King Soundworks. He eventually worked his way to become the Sound Designer/Re-recording Mixer at King Soundworks where he still works today. Some of his most recognizable film projects include X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Battleship and Nightflyers.
Vanessa Spinetti
FIELD: Sound Engineer
Nominated for Best Sound for The Guitar at the 2018 Top Indie Film Awards.
Vanessa Spinetti, better known as Venus Leone, is a multi-talented artist who works as a singer/songwriter, actress and recording engineer. Her body of work includes indie films The Guitar, Grey Streets and In Transit along with two short films Jacks and Hazing.
